Elistair tether station

A tether station, also known as a cable drone station, is a ground-based infrastructure to which an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) physically connects via a cable. The primary function of this cable is to provide continuous power to the drone, thereby maximizing its airborne duration. Additionally, the cable can also be utilized for data transmission purposes. This solution is particularly useful for applications requiring sustained aerial surveillance, as it allows UAVs to operate beyond the limitations of battery range. Moreover, the tethered connection offers data security advantages, as it is less susceptible to interference and interception.
